Work | Oak Creek ADUs

LOC was hired by the developer at Avalon Bay to study locations for adding ADUs at multifamily developments in response to new state laws. LOC studied the masterplan of the community and located a site at the edge of the development in vacant land and developed two side by side ADUs. The project capitalizes on the views to nature while creating a distinct indoor-outdoor experience that is lacking in the overall development.

The exterior facade of the ADUs features a simple white stucco texture, which blends seamlessly with the natural environment, while the black roof provides a subtle contrast.

The project incorporates natural materials to reflect the nature surrounding it. The wood ceiling is angled to frame the scenic views, while expansive windows and an abundance of natural light seamlessly connect the interior to the outdoors.

The unique wood design on the ceiling contrasts with the floor, adding depth and character to the space. The use of wood overhead helps create a cozy atmosphere in the living space.
